Capturing the buoyant industrial and investment climate in Orissa, Confederation of Indian Industries and the Government of Orissa organised a symposium - ‘Enterprise Orissa 2005 at Bhubaneswar from 9th to 13th December 05. Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik iaugurated the trade fair and called upon the industrial houses as well as entrepreneurs to invest in ancillary and downstream activities in steel and allumunium sectors.
Both national and international industries and ventures vying for a platform in the eastern state were at the symposium. The crisp December air and the attractive pavilions reflected the vibrancy of Orissa’s industry. The presence of industry groups like Visa Steel, NALCO, TATA AIG, Magma Leasing, Zuari Agro, Andhra Bank, HDFC Standard Life Insurance and Pancham Shrachi among others, made Enterprise Orissa - 2005 a hub of business interest.
The pavilion of Neo City, the biggest real estate project in Bhubaneswar brought by Pancham Shrachi, was a big crowd puller and drew large numbes of visitors including the CM. Neo City is the first of its kind residential complex in the region bringing truly 5 star lifestyle to these parts.
The symposium also marked Orissa’s surging sectors. The Steel and aluminium sectors are cruising ahead on a number of investments, including 13 new steel plants about to start commercial production and 45 MOUs. The state is witnessing remarkable growth in Ferro Alloys, Alumina and Petro Chemicals. Enterprise Orissa - 2005 underscores the state government’s commitment to continue its drive in developing infrastructure and pro-active policies and join strength with CII towards that end. |
