The site is situated immediately outside the north western boundary of the Burdwan municipal area at the intersection of GT road to Durgapur and Asansol in one direction and to Kolkata approximately 100 km away on the other. Coming up on 257 acres of land, it is envisaged that Burdwan New Town will be an exciting facility that will complement and enhance the facilities already present in the region.
The scheme would be a comprehensive township with a wide range of residential (apartments and bungalows), retail, administrative, health and educational facilities to cater for both the residents in the Burdwan area as well as the surrounding region, in an environmentally friendly and sustainable development, within the rich agriculture producing West Bengal hinterland. |
