Materials for APH Baskets

Elements

The element sheets are procured as per operating conditions - application and environment in which APH is going to operate. The hot end elements are normally manufactured of Deep Drawing Quality Carbon Steel in thickness of 0.5 mm to 0.7 mm.

For the cold end elements in an Air Pre-Heater, the materials used can be either Corten in 1.00 mm thick where the outlet flue gas temperature is well above the acid dew point or Enameled De-carbonized Steel Plates.

Casing frame for Baskets

The element profiles are placed in casing for ease in handling. The baskets could either be all wall baskets or stiffened frame baskets in Mild Steel or Corten as per customer's choice. For refineries Stainless steel Sheets may be used for Elements and Baskets Frame.
